Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a Reel Weddings Video DVD you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

Reel Weddings has been contracted exclusively to perform the wedding video service

All or part of this video may be used by Reel Weddings for promotional purposes

A deposit of 50% of the package price is payable to secure video services on your wedding date. If you choose to cancel your booking, a partial refund is available, provided no other potential clients have been turned away due to a conflict in booking dates. Cancellation at least one month prior to the booking date will receive a refund of 40% of package price. Cancellation between 1- 4 weeks before the booking date will receive a refund of 20% of package price. For cancellation less than 1 week before the booking date, no refund is available.

In the event that more than one client wishes to book our services on the same day, preference will go to the first client to pay the deposit. Rescheduled weddings will only be accommodated if the new date does not conflict with any other exsistent booking.

The remaining balance is due on completion of DVD package. The finished DVD package will be delivered after payment of the outstanding balance.

You will be contacted when your DVD is completed. (The DVD will become available 6-12 weeks after the date of your wedding). All materials and information (for the purposes of editing wedding DVDs) requested by Reel Weddings must be supplied by the client to ensure completion of the DVD. Payment must be made in full in order to ensure delivery of your wedding DVD.

Reel Weddings will be the exclusive professional videographer. Friends and family operating video cameras must not interfere with or obstruct the professional operation conducted by Reel Weddings.

Reel Weddings will not be held liable for any production problems beyond our control, such as bad weather, accidents, poor acoustics/lighting, interference from guests, excessively noisy locations etc...

It is the client's responsibility to secure access to areas for videography. Reel Weddings will not be responsible for coverage lost or the recording of poor quality footage due to access restrictions.

Creative aspects such as shooting and editing style are at the discretion of Reel Weddings.

Reel Weddings reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time for any reasonable cause, such as accident or ill health. In this event all monies paid will be refunded in full. Any liability on the part of Reel Weddings will be limited to the amount of monies paid.

Upon taking possession of the finished product, the client must inform Reel Weddings of any technical or other problems within seven days. After seven days, if no notification has been received, the client will be deemed to be satisfied with the product.

Copyright will be owned by Reel Weddings. Any duplication of wedding DVD packages must be undertaken by Reel Weddings or permission sought from Reel Weddings to duplicate wedding DVDs.

Additional Costs

Any additional hours of filming above and beyond agreement or that stated in the package descriptions will be charged at $150 incl GST per hour. The rate includes the additional time spent at the location, editing of additional footage and increased content of DVD.

A mileage charge of 69 cents per kilometre will be incurred for weddings which take place outside of the central Auckland area (defined as outside of a 20km radius from Auckland Central P.O) or outside of the greater Waitakere City area
(20km radius from Henderson Post Office).

Duplicate or additional DVD’s may be purchased at $25 incl GST per DVD copy.
